Quality Assurance Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team at ACCO Engineered Systems. As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading our QA/QC project team and ensuring that our projects are built on a solid foundation of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of quality control inspectors to reach new heights by setting clear goals and providing ongoing support.
  • Uncover and prevent issues before they become problems with your keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to quality.
  • Ensure every project adheres to our strict standards and procedures, while finding innovative ways to improve our processes.
  • Partner with the Project Management Team to create products that exceed expectations.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; with 10 years of overall experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Quality Control focused on ASME B31 piping codes, industrial and commercial construction, fabrication, welding, non-destructive testing, and/or other similar fields.
  • Current certification in accordance with AWS QC-1 as a Senior Certified Welding Inspector (SCWI), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), and /or ICC Mechanical - Commercial Certification preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
  • Proficient understanding of ASME Section IX BP&V Code and experience creating and reviewing welding procedures and welder or brazer qualifications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus
  • Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Work Environment:

Monday through Friday beginning between 6:00 am and 7:00 am and ending between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm, with one hour for lunch. Eight hours per day is required, and occasional overtime may be necessary due to business needs.

Travel:

Based on business needs to and from the primary office to regional branch offices & job sites. Varying work in varying locations.
