Salary
The estimated hourly wage range for this role is $34.29 - $53.79 per hour, with the typical candidate being hired below midpoint of the range.
Job Description
This role involves performing and documenting patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure. You will also conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy, administer respiratory care therapies, and assist with placement of artificial airways.
Responsibilities:
- You will perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
Requirements:
- NBRC-accredited RRT credential.
- Current Colorado Respiratory License.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA or ARC are required.
- PALS certification is required.
- NRP certification preferred (Must have prior to working in NICU).
- Graduate of AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapist Program.
- 6 months of previous experience.
