Saint-Gobain, a global leader in innovative materials, seeks a skilled Master Forming Technician to join our team in Wayne, NJ. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our Forming machines.

About the Role:

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a shift differential, comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for growth and professional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues to restore operations or repair as necessary.
  • Work with production teams to achieve schedule compliance and production efficiency goals.
  • Participate in training newly hired operators and cross-train existing operators in new skills.
  • Set up and operate Forming machines according to standard operating procedures and established volume expectations.
  • Work on project-assigned basis to design new and modify existing equipment to improve process safety, product quality, reduce costs, and increase efficiencies.
  • Communicate and cooperate with fellow employees to maintain quality, operation efficiency, and safety.
  • Visually observe, troubleshoot, and report non-conformance conditions to supervisor or manager as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or manufacturing production technician certification strongly preferred.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of area-specific Saint-Gobain products, processes, and equipment.
  • Able to operate independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Able to read and follow SOPs, labels, instructions, and blueprints.
  • Achieve top skill level of "5" on Forming Machine per skill matrix.
  • Demonstrated mathematical and mechanical abilities.

Work Hours: 3rd shift, 11pm - 7:30am, with training on 1st shift, 7am - 3:30pm.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or manufacturing production technician certification strongly preferred.
