Dietary Aide Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team at Valle Vista Post Acute. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest quality of food service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Cook in food preparation, processing, and delivery to patients.
  • Help with meal preparation in accordance with patient dietary needs, ensuring that meals are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
  • Timely set up of meal service, maintain food carts, and deliver meal trays.
  • Adhere to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up.
  • Keep work areas clean, including sweeping and mopping floors, sterilizing countertops, and washing and cleaning cooking equipment and utensils.
  • Return clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas.
  • Collect and carry out garbage, and dispose of food and waste per facility regulations.
  • Prep food supplies for the next meal.
  • Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times.
