Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Medical Service Coordinator to join our team at WorkSource Oregon. As a key member of our customer service department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to patients and physicians, while ensuring seamless communication and coordination of medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter patient demographic and insurance information with high accuracy
  • Schedule patient appointments according to physician's scheduling protocols and insurance guidelines
  • Process and manage patient referrals in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide excellent customer service and serve as the first point of contact to patients and to the public in person or by phone
  • Navigate multiple data systems to research and/or record pertinent patient information into electronic health records and other support service platforms in compliance with clinic policies
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of customer service experience
  • Prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Outgoingly friendly and compassionate with excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills, highly organized and detail oriented
  • Strong computer skills, knowledge of modern office equipment, systems and procedures, including computer skills and typing efficiently
  • Knowledge of medical insurance and terminology
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical office experience
  • Associate or bachelor's degree a plus
Work Environment

Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 pm. Hours may vary from time-to-time depending on physicians' schedules and late nights, these are rotated amongst the Customer Service Department.
