The University of Tennessee at Martin is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the Leadership Development Program Manager position at WestStar Leadership.

As a key member of the WestStar Leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of program events, including conferences, seminars, workshops, retreats, and networking events.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event planning and management, preferably in a leadership development or educational context.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating event logistics, such as registration, venue selection, catering, transportation, audiovisual requirements, and guest accommodations.
  • Developing event agendas and ensuring smooth execution, managing timelines and schedules effectively.
  • Collaborating with guest speakers, facilitators, and vendors to ensure the quality and success of events.
  • Traveling to various parts of West Tennessee to coordinate and facilitate conference planning meetings.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with program alumni, fostering a strong sense of community and engagement.

Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the program and attract qualified applicants.

Key qualifications for the position include:

  • A high school diploma and four years of experience in office management, event planning, or communications.
  • Proven experience in event planning and management, preferably in a leadership development or educational context.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in crafting compelling marketing copy and engaging social media content.
