Essen Health Care, a leading provider of high-quality medical care, is seeking a skilled Medical Director to oversee the daily operations of its nursing homes. This leadership role offers a unique opportunity for teaching and mentoring.

The ideal candidate will possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, be board eligible/board certified, and have formally recognized qualification in geriatric medicine. Certification as a Medical Director in Long Term Care (AMDA CMD) is strongly preferred. The selected individual must have experience managing in long-term care settings and meet local/state regulations and certifications, including Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations requirements.

In this position, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate resident care policies and procedures. You will assess the current resident population, identify programmatic and educational needs, and develop new clinical programs as necessary. Additionally, you will ensure facility compliance with government and accrediting bodies' rules and regulations, and participate in ongoing clinician in-service training.

As a leader in our organization, you will sustain your professional development through self-directed and continuing education. You will also assist in educating and training staff on relevant topics, serve as a resource regarding geriatric medicine, and inform attending physicians about policies and procedures.

Earn an estimated salary of $250,000 per year as you drive quality patient care and contribute to our mission of providing accessible, compassionate healthcare to under-served residents in New York State.
