Responsibilities and Duties
  • Treatment Planning and Patient Communication

Discuss treatment options with patients in a clear and concise manner to ensure they understand the importance of their dental care.

Emergency Response and Patient Safety

Manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drugs, and oxygen supply, as well as adhering to the River Town Dental, INC. Emergency SOP & Safety Plan.

Patient Confidentiality and Scheduling

Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential and ensuring seamless patient scheduling of procedures.

Treatment Documentation and Planning

Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, as well as document and plan treatment to ensure accurate and efficient care.

Supporting the Dental Team

Assist dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies, as well as support assistants, hygienists, and other doctors as needed.

Patient Education and Support

Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment, and assist doctors in educating patients to encourage case acceptance.

Oral Health and Hygiene

Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health, including tooth brushing and flossing.

Supply Management and Equipment Maintenance

Monitor and track lab cases, order supplies as needed, and ensure the operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.

Requirements
  • Dental Assisting Certification (preferred)
  • 1+ years experience in a dental office (preferred)
  • Experience with EMR (electronic medical records) and medical terminology
  • Bilingual Dental Assistants encouraged to apply

River Town Dental, INC. offers a competitive salary of $17-$21 an hour for this position.
