Job Summary
The UPS Store #0999 is seeking a highly skilled Retail Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing world-class customer service, processing packages for courier shipment, and operating various office equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries, ensuring a positive experience and building customer loyalty.
- Practice good listening skills with customers, team members, and leadership to effectively address their needs and concerns.
- Take ownership of customer shipping needs and offer viable solutions, driving sales growth and revenue.
- Continuously learn and stay up-to-date on product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends to provide expert advice to customers.
- Operate all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and be willing to teach others, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to company standards and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing business needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Retail/customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
- Good communication and people skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
- Able to cross-sell and up-sell products and services, driving sales growth and revenue.
- Excellent packing skills, with the ability to efficiently and accurately process packages for courier shipment.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
- Prompt, reliable, and responsible, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
- Able to lift 50+ pounds, with the ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Must be able to work Saturday and Sundays, with flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules as needed.
