Job Overview

Kaiser Permanente Southern California Region is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist RN to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care to our patients.

Job Description

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for managing a team of nurses and providing expert clinical guidance to ensure high-quality patient care. You will work closely with operational managers to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote excellence in nursing practice.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in the area of specialty and hold a Clinical Master's degree in Nursing. A Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification are also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements area of specialty competency criteria for outcome monitoring of staff.
  • Assists in interviewing staff and provides input into evaluations regarding clinical competence.
  • Conducts cost/benefit analysis of new clinical technologies and recommends implementation and budgets.
  • Provides coaching and counseling to nursing staff and other healthcare providers.
  • Participates as a part of management in providing 24-hour clinical leadership and developing standards of practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum three years of experience in area of specialty.
  • Clinical Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse License (California).
  • Basic Life Support certification.
Salary Range

$93,400 - $123,900 per year, depending on location and experience.
