Early Learning Educator

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Teacher to join our team at Wonderspring's STAR 4 Narberth center. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and enriching environment that fosters early learning and development.
About the Role
This role involves assisting in delivering lessons following the Creative Curriculum and PA Early Learning Standards, as well as maintaining best practices in education and health. You will work closely with experienced teachers and parents to enhance each child's educational journey.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing approved curriculum-based lesson plans.
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude with children, parents, co-workers, and administrators.
- Teach children acceptable alternatives to challenging behaviors using techniques like FLIP IT and Second Step.
- Observe and record children's progress throughout the year.
- Audit children's routines, interests, and progress, keeping parents informed.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have a High School Diploma or GED, preferably a CDA certification. At least two years' experience in early childcare education (2,500 verified hours) is required. You should also possess excellent communication skills for engaging with parents/guardians and be able to maintain high standards of confidentiality. Familiarity with DHS licensing, Keystone Stars, and accreditation standards is beneficial.
Salary Information
The estimated annual salary for this position is around $40,000-$60,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
