Job Summary:

The Driver Trainee position at TransForce is an excellent opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience in the waste management industry. As a Driver Trainee, you will work closely with experienced drivers to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities:

Operate a truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
Provide waste or recycling removal services to customers on assigned routes and haul materials to disposal sites.
Maintain and update route sheets and logs, ensuring accurate records of services provided.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, completing logs and reporting any issues or concerns.
Develop strong communication skills, interacting professionally with internal and external customers.

Requirements:

Must be at least 19 years of age.
No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
Ability to read and understand a map, perform physical requirements of the job, and enter/exit the truck approximately times per day.
Good written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.

Working Conditions:

Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas.
Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
Ability to travel between offices, as required.
Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
