Job Summary

This role is responsible for performing ultrasound studies, including patient instruction, appointment scheduling, equipment maintenance, examination, and result form completion. As an Ultrasound Specialist in our OBGYN department, you will work closely with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clear explanations to patients regarding the ultrasound procedure.
  • Perform ultrasound studies, complete study findings on proper forms, mail results to referring agencies (if indicated), and inform physicians of abnormalities during examinations.
  • File ultrasound reports in patient medical records.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment in working order, order supplies, and stock inventory.
  • Prepare patients for physician examinations, obtain vital signs, and assist during exams as requested.
  • General Job Expectations:
    • Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings.
    • Maintain established practice policies and procedures, objectives, and safety standards.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management role that reports directly to a supervisor, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements

An Associate's Degree in Radiology or Ultrasound is required. No prior experience is necessary; however, one year of clinical experience is preferred.

Required Certifications, Registries, Licenses

Credentialed Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is mandatory.

Salary and Benefits

Our competitive salary range for this position is $ $63,400 - $85,300 per year, depending on qualifications and location. We also offer comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

Location and Work Environment
