Job Summary:
Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled CNA to join our Float Pool team. As a CNA, you will provide direct and indirect care to patients, working collaboratively with RNs to ensure the highest quality care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect care to patients, including assisting with clinical tasks and responding to patient and family needs.
- Work collaboratively with RNs to ensure the efficient operation of the unit.
- Remotely monitor patient safety using continuous virtual monitoring systems.
- Make patient assignments for continuous virtual monitoring staff and identify when assignments may need to change.
- Communicate effectively with Nurse Administrators regarding patient safety.
- Attend non-emergent central line placements as an observer to ensure sterile technique.
- Document and attest to observing sterile technique for central line placement.
Requirements:
- Certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, EMT, or commensurate experience required.
- Nursing student with completed fundamentals of nursing with a clinical component preferred.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
- Prior experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
