IT Concepts Sr. Application Engineer Opportunity in Fayetteville, NC

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Application Engineer to support a DOD SOCOM opportunity at IT Concepts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured data sources.
Responsibilities- Data Consolidation and Analysis: Design and develop methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured data sources.
- Advanced Software Development: Develop and use advanced software programs, algorithms, querying, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate datasets and model complex business problems.
- Cloud-Based Data Solutions: Facilitate integrating cloud-based data solutions to promote scalability and enhance efficiency, optimize data processing workflows, and resolve data-related issues.
- Data Security and Compliance: Implement and monitor database security measures, ensuring compliance with DoD security standards, including encryption, access control, and audit trails.
- Database Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of databases, identifying and resolving issues related to query efficiency, data integrity, and system responsiveness.
- Data Migration and Upgrades: Manage data migrations, upgrades, and patch installations for database systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and full functionality.
- Journeyman Level: A Bachelor's degree and 3 - 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred Skills: Expertise in database design, management, and optimization for relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), knowledge of DoD-specific cybersecurity standards and compliance requirements, ability to monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance through query optimization, indexing, and load-balancing techniques.
- Clearance Requirements: Must have active DOD Top Secret clearance.
The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a competitive benefits package, including paid time off, healthcare benefits, supplemental benefits, 401k, discount perks, rewards, and more.
