Director of Full Stack Engineering/Architecture

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Full Stack Engineering/Architecture to join our team at S&P Global. As a key member of our data services group, you will be responsible for analysis, architecture, design, development, and support of enterprise data management systems.
Responsibilities and Impact:
- Lead the design and development of enterprise data management systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence the strategy and roadmap of our enterprise data applications.
- Partner with other architects, engineering teams, and product owners to achieve business and technology goals.
- Develop and document application standards, data standards, and best practices.
Requirements:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with 8+ years of IT experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience contributing to data/application architecture & designs, proven software/enterprise integration design patterns, and full-stack knowledge.
- Deep experience with Java/J2EE, AWS, distributed data processing frameworks, Python, Scala, Informatica, PL/SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, data stream processing tools, MongoDB, Angular/ReactJS, Databricks, and cloud-native orchestration tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in developing scalable data pipelines using technologies like data stream processing tools, Databricks, distributed data processing frameworks, and Scala.
- Experience in microservices and API design and implementation, SOAP and RESTful APIs for data management applications.
- Experience with data management, data security, data quality, and data governance.
