Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Onsite Medicaid Eligibility Professional to join our team at Ohio Health Grant Medical Center Emergency Room. As an Onsite Medicaid Eligibility Professional, you will be responsible for reviewing hospital work queues, screening uninsured patients, and determining eligibility for assistance programs. Your primary goal will be to ensure seamless communication between patients and relevant authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Screen and interview patients in their hospital bedsides to identify potential eligibility for Medicaid and other charitable programs
  • Complete applications for Medicaid benefits and charity programs as necessary
  • Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, hospital staff, and patients
  • Abide by HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
  • Meet productivity goals and objectives set by the hospital and management
  • Maintain confidentiality of account information

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Ability to multitask and type 40 words per minute
  • Reliable transportation essential
  • Good attendance and dependability are crucial
  • Successful completion of drug and background tests required
  • Annual flu shots and TB testing required
  • COVID vaccine mandatory

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $36,400 - $44,800, based on an hourly wage of $17.50. This figure may vary depending on factors such as location and level of experience.
