Job Summary

UPMC is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology team in a full-time, weekend shift position. As a RN Staff Nurse, you will provide direct care to patients, assess and reassess their needs, and develop care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of medical professionals to provide life-changing medicine to our patients.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to patients, including administering medications and IV therapy, and performing and documenting procedures safely and accurately.

Assess and reassess patients every eight hours or as needed, evaluating and documenting their needs.

Develop and implement care plans, involving patients and families in the decision-making process, and prioritizing needs.

Coordinate with community agencies and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements

Minimum of six months of nursing experience required.

Must hold a current license to practice nursing in the State of Pennsylvania.

Must satisfactorily complete the Nursing Department's orientation program and probationary period.
