Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm with over 33 years of experience in the industry, is seeking a full-time Construction Financial/Compliance Analyst for a federal construction project related to complex rail and transportation projects in New York and New Jersey.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of full-time experience in accounting within the construction/engineering fields and holds a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, or a related field.

This is a full-time, on-site position that requires candidates to live in or near the New York metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial reporting packages, ensuring accurate and detailed reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal reimbursement rules and regulations.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Federal-State Partnership grant experience, particularly with non-profit accounting and federal grants.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as requested by management.
  • Collaborate with Finance managers and department members to deliver high-quality results through teamwork and effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate fiscal files and records to document transactions for annual audits.
  • Capture and record payments for reimbursable operational expenses accurately.
  • Process invoices for submission to clients.
  • Support project management and contracts teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting with Federal Grants.
  • Strong finance and accounting skills, including expertise in financial statements.
  • Familiarity with Federal-State Partnership grant experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, particularly with VLOOKUP.
  • Experience with EAR and SAGE or similar software is a plus.
  • Understanding of general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of construction accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in standard ERP systems.
  • Proven bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000-$110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The salary will be commensurate with industry standards for this role and location.
