Heavy-Duty Diesel Maintenance Specialist

As a Heavy-Duty Diesel Maintenance Specialist, you will keep our fleet safe by repairing, maintaining, and overhauling all company diesel equipment to meet compliance standards.
This role involves performing preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and convertor dollies under minimal supervision. Responsibilities include completing standard component inspections/repairs, identifying root causes of basic failures/conditions, and ensuring equipment has required licensing and registration prior to being deemed as 'roadworthy'. You will also complete thorough documentation for work orders through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
You will be responsible for:
- Completing minor repairs and standard component inspections/repairs of fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units)
- Ensuring equipment has required licensing and registration prior to being deemed as 'roadworthy'
- Completing thorough documentation for work orders through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
- Installing, replacing, and repairing onboard computers
- Inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition
Additional responsibilities may include training other mechanics and performing routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment.
To succeed in this role, you should have 3-5 years of proven experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and experience in refrigeration.
