At Precision Door Service, we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing, and resolving problems related to payroll earnings, deductions, and tax withholding.
Key Responsibilities:- Compile, analyze, and prepare payroll-related information for input into the payroll system.
- Resolve payroll-related issues and respond to inquiries from employees and management.
- Compile and review payroll-related information for year-end reporting.
- Research tax requirements and prepare tax filings for workers' compensation and other external parties.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and historical changes to employee or payroll records.
- Provide analytics and KPI reporting to HR Leadership and monitor metric trends.
- 4+ years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a multi-state payroll environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills, including writing advanced formulas, analyzing large volumes of data, pivot-tables, and macros.
- A track record of delivering consultative approaches to payroll administration, systems architecture, and labor analytics.
