Job Overview:

The Senior Analyst plays a crucial role in the fee-for-service landscape, focusing on contract negotiations, rate modeling, and performance evaluations of contracts.

This position will work collaboratively with various departments within the revenue cycle to maximize revenue generation for the healthcare system.


Qualifications:

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- Experience with complex managed care contracts.
- Strong analytical capabilities to transform large datasets into actionable insights.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Preferred:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare reimbursement is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to resolve complex issues related to reimbursement, contract modeling, and revenue cycle management.

Work Environment:
This position is fully remote, with the option for in-person work if preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead analytical efforts in modeling contract rates during the managed care negotiation process.
  • Assist in various aspects of managed care payer negotiations, including proposals, rate validation, and communication with insurance entities.
  • Evaluate payer performance in terms of profitability, compliance, and retrospective assessments.
  • Collaborate with the business office to support contract interpretation and payment variance reviews.
  • Ensure accurate implementation of payer contracts within the management system.
  • Work with hospitals to develop revenue proformas for new services.
  • Manage projects related to payer financial impacts and progress tracking.
  • Research and analyze changes in managed care policies and their financial implications.
  • Model the financial effects of new technologies and communicate findings to payers.
  • Serve as a resource for managed care inquiries and assist with various ad hoc requests.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned.
