Job Summary:

As a Regional Sales Manager for Hitachi Energy's C&I Southwest region, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and managing a team of sales representatives to meet volume, price, and customer satisfaction objectives. Your primary focus will be on external and internal customer relations, as well as increasing market share in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in sales strategy discussions and agree to short and long-term goals, incorporating growth targets as appropriate.
  • Achieve sales targets through proactive management of sales representative organizations, market analysis, and performance management of reps.
  • Relentlessly pursue determining where customers perceive value to assist businesses in aligning their value proposition with customer buying criteria.
  • Implement measures to achieve sales of products, systems, and services in the assigned regions for the C&I segment, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure sales representatives in the region operate in alignment with Hitachi Energy's business processes, standards, and core values, proactively managing performance and continually assessing the rep network to ensure ultimate value to Hitachi Energy.
  • Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape in the region.
  • Conduct period reviews and propose recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls.
  • Live Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or business administration or technical field, or advanced degree desirable; equitable experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in sales and experience working with sales/manufacturer's reps.
  • Technical selling aptitude is a must.
  • Account management experience.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Experience in performance managing manufacturer's reps, including measurement of performance against established KPIs and ensuring the appropriate network of representatives.
  • Responsible for sales accounts/region of $10 MUSD or higher preferred.
  • Experience in C&I sales preferred.
  • Understanding and experience with a portfolio of products and services in the Hitachi Energy C&I segment preferred.
