Political Program Manager

The Political Program Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow and maintain Lowe's Companies, Inc. Political Action Committee (LOWPAC). This includes strengthening LOWPAC membership and associate engagement, developing PAC strategy, and creatively communicating knowledge of the federal and state political and legislative process to current and prospective PAC members.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops strategy for the growth of the company's political action committee, LOWPAC
- Develops and executes creative education and solicitation campaigns to increase Associate participation and engagement in LOWPAC
- Acts as key motivator and inspirational leader in creating a best-in-class PAC Champion network
- Manages, recommends, and distributes PAC contributions to the campaigns of targeted Members of Congress and state legislators
- Oversees the PAC website, ensuring content is current and relevant
- Works with LOWPAC's Advisory Committee Chair and the Vice President- Government Affairs, organize quarterly LOWPAC meetings
- Executes PAC donor events at the Store Support Center in Mooresville and field offices as needed
- Ensures the timely filing of Federal Election Commission (FEC) and state political reporting, and ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local election law
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, Business Administration or related field
- 5-7 Years Experience in program or project management, particularly for political programs and Political Action Committees (PAC) at the state and federal levels
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to influence others with strong interpersonal skills, judgement, and political acumen
