Job Summary:

This is an intermediate-level professional position required to perform a full range of assignments under the supervision of the Community Program Manager-SES in the Community Health Programs section.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Management & Quality Improvement: Compile and monitor programmatic and administrative audits to ensure compliance with goals and objectives.
  • Information Security & Privacy: Serve as the DOH Bay Information Security & Privacy Officer, developing, planning, and providing security information to staff, and coordinating access, reference, maintenance, storage, retrieval, and disposal of all state records.
  • Minority Health & Vital Statistics: Supervise/manages the programmatic and administrative functions of the DOH Bay Minority Health program and the DOH Bay Office of Vital Statistics.
  • Incident Reporting: Receive, submit, log, identify, categorize, and track all Office of Inspector General (OIG) Incident Reports.
  • Performance Management & Quality Improvement: Responsible for compiling and monitoring of programmatic and administrative audits to ensure compliance with goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrates the following KSAs related to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities: Ability to monitor important and complex projects concurrently; Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, to include writing and preparing letters, accreditation documents, policies and other official correspondence.
  • Strong computer skills & web skills including the ability to prepare analytical reports, performance measurement, and best practice/benchmarking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to effectively organize and plan daily work schedule.
  • Exhibit highly ethical and good understanding and appreciation of the confidential nature of confidential records, and employee and client investigations.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience working with performance improvement, Six Sigma principles, and/or data gathering and analysis.
  • Preferred two years experience in supervision.
