The Role

As an Operations Manager - Inventory and Supply Chain, you will play a vital role in ensuring the day-to-day success of our marketplaces in all kitchens at CookUnity. You will be responsible for operational improvements, focusing on reducing the delta between theoretical and actual food spend in assigned marketplaces.

  • Operational Improvements: Develop and implement standardized practices for receiving and handling ingredients to ensure efficiency and freshness. Review site layouts to optimize storage and handling of ingredients. Focus on deploying a distribution model across all food categories and markets.
  • Compliance and Training: Ensure ongoing compliance with processes for checking incoming shipments versus invoices and order sheets. Train Market teams to successfully manage ingredient needs, including providing staffing coverage as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Implement processes to focus on receiving, inventory counting, ordering, and food safety compliance (HACCP). Continuously oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal product stock.
Responsibilities
  • Refine receiving and cold chain procedures to ensure efficiency and freshness of ingredients.
  • Schedule Marketplace and receiving team according to labor budget.
  • Perform any other marketplace tasks based on business needs.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, such as management of a Grocery store, warehouse, or procurement department experience.
  • Bilingual, with the ability to communicate and understand Spanish.
  • Experience in food procurement and extensive food knowledge.
  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented.
  • Understanding of food safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to train and inspire employees to perform at their best.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $67,000-$75,000 USD per year, depending on experience. In addition to a generous salary, we provide benefits that promote work-life balance, including PTO policy, paid sick days, a 5-year sabbatical, family leave, compassionate leave, and wellness perks.
