Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems
  • Complete detailed mechanical inspections and repairs
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Utilize shop management systems and electronic documentation

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Three years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
