About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Control Systems Lead to join our team at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS). As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of controls technicians to maintain, troubleshoot, and modify material handling controls systems equipment to ensure optimal operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement controls systems strategies to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Lead a team of controls technicians to troubleshoot and repair complex controls systems issues.
  • Collaborate with facility operations leadership, equipment vendors, and parts suppliers to plan and coordinate new technology installations.
  • Communicate technical issues and project timelines to site leadership, operations, and maintenance teams.
  • Partner with RME business partners and Operations Maintenance team members to promote a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Associate degree with a focus in Electronic Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training.
  • 2+ years of experience with motor controls, programming HMI components, and Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs.
  • 2+ years of experience with robotics system components and controls, SCADA systems, and interpreting and modifying mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Control Systems troubleshooting/programming.
  • Experience supporting a range of different conveyors and sortation systems.
  • Project Management experience with the ability to train others.
  • Experience with robotic maintenance, AB RS LOGIX 5000 PLC's, and PLC components.
  • Experience with SCADA systems and KPI's.
