About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic to join our team at US Foods, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure fleet readiness and safety.
  • Handle road service calls and provide emergency repairs as needed.
  • Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a heavy duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic.
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with ability to read and understand technical manuals.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work independently.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational needs and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • CDL A and DOT certification preferred.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $32.05 per hour, with opportunities for overtime compensation, retention bonus, and certification premium. Benefits may include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, and short-term and long-term disability.
