Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate x-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated body parts as specified by a physician.
  • Assist radiologists in performing fluoroscopic examinations and mini-special procedures in the fluoroscopic suites.
  • Determine appropriate exposure factors and position patients using immobilization devices to ensure optimum film quality.
  • Adhere to department standards of radiographic quality, reviewing radiographs to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Consistently maintain a professional attitude, cooperating with co-workers, physicians, patients, and families.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
  • ARRT Registered or registry eligible.
  • Current CPR Certification.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and emergency call-backs.
  • May be exposed to radiation during procedures.
  • May be required to sit or stand for long periods or lift and move patients.
