At The Salvation Army Eastern Territory, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional medical care to our residents.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate and assess the nursing needs of individuals, developing personalized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Implement and coordinate nursing care, working collaboratively with the Interdisciplinary Team to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures, maintaining accurate records and monitoring patient progress.
- Supervise and train direct support professional staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
- Collaborate with consulting and contracted medical services, ensuring seamless integration of care and documentation.
- Manage inventory and account for controlled drugs and narcotics, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Provide education and support to individuals and families on health care, personal hygiene, and self-treatment methods.
- Serve as a liaison and interpreter, facilitating communication between residents and outside healthcare providers.
- Licensed by the New York State Department of Education.
- Experience in OPWDD-certified homes, community residences, and nursing homes.
- First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.
- Valid Driver's license preferred.
- Ability to work varied shifts and be on-call as needed.
