Job Opportunity: Cost Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cost Manager to join our Real Estate Cost Management team in Seattle, Washington. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction, embedding, and promoting the purpose, values, and vision of Turner & Townsend.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Holistic ownership of monthly cost reports for presentation to clients.
  • C Coordinate cost information to inform clients when making cost-related decisions.
  • C Coordinate with architects and GCs to develop cost estimates for additional scopes of work requested by clients.
  • R Review, quantification, and negotiation of change orders with General Contractors throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • P Preparation and ownership of cash flow forecasting.
  • R Review and validate monthly pay applications from General Contractors.
  • R Review invoicing from design consultants and Client vendors.
  • P Prepare Purchase Requisitions for client approval.
  • P Provide input into value engineering exercises.
  • M Manage Cost impact/contingency management and commitment tracking logs.
  • E Ensure that final accounts are negotiated and agreed in a timely manner.
  • C Compiling as-built cost estimate records for benchmarking purposes.
Requirements:
  • 3 or more years' experience in the construction industry with a good understanding of the role of a cost consultant.
  • College degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications.
  • Advanced skills with spreadsheets, charts, and presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Drive to be proactive and self-motivated.
  • The tenacity and ambition to inject value and create solutions.
  • A Ability to develop good working relationships with project teams.
  • E Experience with client-specific systems.
  • G Good organization skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be a team player.
  • P Passion and enthusiasm for construction and numbers.
  • S Strong analytical skills and proficiency using spreadsheets.
  • E Experience using estimating software, e.g., on-screen take-off, Revit preferred.
  • R RICS accredited or working towards accreditation valuable but not required.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $65K-$145 per year, depending on role and level. This range represents a base salary only and does not include total compensation.
