GI Technician

United Surgical Partners is seeking a skilled GI Technician to join our team at the Lakewood Endoscopy Center. As a GI Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical team.

• Assist in the care, maintenance, and preparation of equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform equipment safety checks to ensure proper functioning.
• Provide assistance to nurses and physicians during procedures.
• Maintain stocked rooms and reorder supplies as needed.
• Transport patients and equipment using recommended body mechanics.
• Maintain files and documents in an organized system.
• Respond to patients and families promptly using effective customer service skills.

• Follow OSHA and other standards for protection against bloodborne pathogens.
• Use good body mechanics and aseptic technique.
• Assist in the placement of patient monitors.
• Mentor new technicians and recommend changes to orientation.
• Assist with maintaining the physical environment of the center.
• Communicate with equipment repair as necessary.
• Communicate with Charge Nurse regarding work flow.
• Maintain professionalism within the center and community.
