Job Title: Retail Sales Representative

As a Retail Sales Representative at The AZEK Company, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sale of our innovative building products with retail home centers. Your primary responsibilities will include developing relationships with retail staff, conducting product knowledge training, and providing sales assistance to our ProDesk team. You will also be responsible for engaging contractors in our loyalty program and reporting to a Regional Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with retail District Managers, Store Managers, and Pro Sales Reps.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the retail channel within your territory to higher levels of profitability.
  • Effectively communicate with and educate Distributor Outside Sales representatives, TimberTech representatives, and retail associates on the TimberTech brand to increase sales.
  • Continuously develop the expanded offering of special orders at the retail level.
  • Act as a liaison for sales and service issues within your assigned territory.
  • Perform onsite product demonstrations in stores to communicate the value of our products.
  • Visit customers to verify satisfaction, solidify renewals, ask for referrals, and drive up-sell opportunities.
  • Maintain special-order deck displays in retail stores within your region.
  • Ensure TimberTech displays and materials are up-to-date.
  • Investigate and evaluate warranty claims in the field, sending data and information to the Warranty department as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives.
  • Drive sales to meet quarterly/annual revenue goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: Business Administration or related field.
  • One to Three years of experience in an outside sales position. Direct experience with retail home centers preferred.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment that requires a high energy level and the ability to effectively respond to shifting priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upwardly to top management and downward to a wide range of internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated organization and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Interest in up to 60% overnight travel.

Compensation for roles at The AZEK Company varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The annual salary for this role is $60,000 to $65,000. In addition to base salary, we offer generous bonus and incentive opportunities that significantly increase earning potential.
