Reintegration Specialist

Tampa Bay Academy of Hope is a steadfast advocate for veterans, committed to providing a seamless reintegration experience. Our 2nd Chance Heroes Program offers a robust support system, guiding veterans towards stability and purposeful living.

As a Reintegration Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing ongoing support to veterans, fostering strong relationships, and helping them achieve their goals. Your efforts will be instrumental in laying the foundation for successful reentry and empowering these individuals to thrive in their communities.

• Participant Engagement: Develop supportive relationships with program participants, acknowledging their needs, challenges, and aspirations.
• In-Prison Involvement: Effectively navigate correctional facility environments to build rapport and plan with veterans prior to their release.
• Goal Development: Collaborate with veterans to establish and pursue achievable, individualized goals.
• Resource Provision: Identify and connect participants with crucial resources, services, and community supports.
• Travel and Outreach: Frequent travel across designated counties to engage with participants, community resources, and relevant entities.
• Document Management: Record and manage participant data, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
• Team Collaboration: Work in synergy with internal teams and external agencies to provide holistic support.

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in case management, particularly within contexts related to veterans or returning citizens.
• Willingness and capability to work within correctional facilities and provide direct support.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and sustain relationships.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel across designated counties.
