Leading Antenna Systems Engineer for Radar Hardware

Job DescriptionThis role involves leading various disciplines in the completion of technically complex structural repairs and refurbishment projects. You will be responsible for designing and implementing improvement and modernization (I&M) projects, defining clear goals for all aspects of a project, and developing steps for their proper execution. Additionally, you will calculate loads and stresses acting on ALTAIR Antenna and other structures on Kwajalein Atoll.
- Prepare reports, designs, and drawings.
- Consider the strength of construction materials and select appropriately.
- Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.
- Analyze configurations of the basic components of a structure.
You will also maintain the project schedule and budget, monitor and inspect all work undertaken to ensure structural soundness, provide operations and maintenance support for radar hardware systems, and apply advanced technical principles, techniques, theories, and concepts to solve complex technical problems.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering.
- Five (5) or more years of related experience.
- Experience in project management.
- Proficiency in using Windows Office Suit and MS Project.
- Certifications in Non-Destructive Testing methods such as Ultrasonic Testing, Die Penetrant, and Mag Particle are preferred.
- Certifications in Corrosion Prevention and Control are preferred.
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a robust benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurances, generous Paid Time Off and holiday pay, a retirement savings plan with a company match, and vesting on day one.
EligibilityPlease note that this role requires U.S. Citizenship, a DoD Secret security clearance, and the ability to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands. Additionally, you must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport and have the flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
