Expertise in Climate Change Mitigation

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Catastrophe Risk and Exposure Analytics program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in climate change risk analysis and modeling, with experience in catastrophe risk underwriting, capital management, and pricing.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing tools, processes, and metrics to manage catastrophe risk through underwriting. They will also collaborate with Product Line, Underwriting, and Pricing leadership to ensure the use and impact of catastrophe models result in pricing, product development, and exposure management solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement catastrophe risk management strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate catastrophe models into business decisions
  • Analyze data to inform catastrophe risk assessment and mitigation efforts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to drive business results

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, statistics, or other quantitative field OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • 10 years of experience working in data and analytics, including pricing, loss reserving, reinsurance, catastrophe risk management, or a related field
  • 6 years of people leadership experience in building, managing, and/or developing high-performing teams
  • Deep understanding of climate change risk analysis and modeling
  • Significant experience using quantitative approaches and models to measure insurance catastrophe risk
  • Extensive experience in catastrophe risk underwriting, capital management, and pricing
