Medical Device Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team at Harding Mazzotti, LLP. The successful candidate will work closely with our litigation attorneys to support the preparation and prosecution of medical device and pharmaceutical cases.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze files and matters to determine the necessary records required to investigate and pursue the client's case
- Review and analyze client medical records to identify key information
- Create client medical chronologies to provide a clear and concise summary of the case
- Organize and maintain all legal documents in the electronic filing system for attorney review and case preparation
- Assist in drafting correspondence and legal documents, including summonses and complaints, interrogatories, and settlement documents
- E-file legal documents with the court, including summonses and complaints, affidavits of service, and motions with exhibits
- Assist litigation attorneys with preparation for depositions, arbitrations, settlement plan submissions, trials, and appeals
- Discovery document review to assist attorneys with finding key information needed for the prosecution of the case
- Monitor the central MDL and individual case dockets in the federal court system
- Assist with needed redactions in publicly filed documents
- Create entries and follow a diary system to ensure cases move through the litigation process
- Maintain regular telephone and written contact with clients
- Schedule interviews and meetings
- Strong knowledge of PC applications, Windows, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior litigation experience, with federal litigation experience preferred
