About the Role:

The Sleep Care Specialist II in Nevada provides top-notch patient support, delivering exceptional coaching, education, and information via telephone communications. This critical position requires a first-class patient experience with every interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answers inbound phone calls, makes outbound calls to patients, caretakers, physician staff, physicians, client company representatives, and general public as needed, meeting Company standards.
  • Calls patients to discuss equipment setup and continued therapy issues.
  • Performs telemedicine consults for Better Night patients.
  • Provides excellent customer service and patient coaching to improve adherence, encourage resupply orders, and promote BetterNight as a world-class healthcare organization.
  • Offers general information and education on Sleep Apnea, CPAP, Sleep Data's products, services, and related issues.
  • Ensures accurate patient history reading and notes, following up throughout services with Sleep Data.
  • Reviews patient files, electronic and hard copy, for accuracy and necessary care per current policy and procedures.
  • Makes patient notes in files and Brightree system as required by company policy and current health care standards.
  • Serves as an advocate for patients, liaising with other healthcare team members when required.
  • Instructs patients, caregivers, physicians, and staff on respiratory equipment use, cleaning requirements, and home safety during initial setup and follow-up calls.
  • Verifies all area-related price quotes meet current company pricing policy, explaining co-pays and insurance coverage as necessary.
  • Accurately enters and creates patient orders in Brightree.
  • Responsible for maintaining patient charts, keeping them orderly, confidential, current, and HIPAA compliant at all times.
  • Promotes Sleep Data's products and/or services to patients, healthcare organizations, businesses, and the general public.

Requirements:

  • RPSGT (California Medical Board Licensing requirements), RRT, or eligible and meeting NBRC and state licensing requirements (RCP) or RN, LVN.
  • Minimum one to two years of experience in DME (sleep-related) or a Sleep Center.
  • Clear time management skills proven by efficiency tracking.
  • A self-starter able to make correct clinical decisions with minimal management help.
  • Ability to work standard business hours in Pacific Standard Time Zone (California time). Shifts will be assigned in this zone.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this role is $28.00-$32.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, vacation, holiday, and sick time.
