Security Engineer

CyberSN is seeking a skilled Security Engineer to safeguard company computer assets, networks, and information from cyber threats while adhering to compliance regulations (NIST, CIS controls, PCI/DSS, SOX).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Security Engineering: Provide technical leadership and oversight to security engineering activities and initiatives, perform cloud security design, determine security requirements, harden systems for cyber resilience, monitor system events, logfiles and alerts, program and write scripts.
  • Awareness and Training: Develop and implement strategies, best practices, and education programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Cloud Security Engineering: Provide technical leadership and oversight to cloud security activities and initiatives.
  • Product Security: Provide cybersecurity guidance and recommendations.
  • Incident Response: Respond to incidents and develop plans to prevent future occurrences.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of cyber security engineering experience.
  • Experience must include familiarity with applicable NIST information security documentation.
  • 1+ years of this functional experience must have included securing and evaluating information management systems, security design.
  • 3+ years of working experience in the following:
  • Hands-on experience identifying, exploiting, and remediating Network and Application based attacks.
  • Network auditing and monitoring, including SIEM experience.
  • Active Directory.
  • Cloud security (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience recommending, communicating, and tracking remediation of IT Threats.
