Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Engineer I to join our team at Seminole Gaming. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for adjusting, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
  • Adjust, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
  • Perform all preventive maintenance on systems and maintain applicable log books.
  • Conduct walk-through inspections, change belts, filters, adjust volume dampers, check gauges, coils, drain lines, bleed gas lines, reset compressors, check unit sensors, relocate ductwork, and troubleshoot to locate sources and causes of malfunction.
  • Assist with estimating parts, supplies, equipment, and labor hours needed to complete assigned repairs and monitor computer for malfunctions.
  • Maintain quality of air, air flow, and temperature at on- and off-site facilities; adjust valves to regulate temperature of lubrication oil and flow of water through system.
  • Record gauge readings, repairs completed, and time lost due to inoperative equipment.
  • Maintain technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or technical certificate required, as well as a minimum of three (3) years' experience with commercial industrial equipment or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  • Must also have a Florida state EPA HVAC License and possess basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and interpret schematics, plans, diagrams, and drawings.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work in high/precarious places, be near fiberglass insulation, and electrical current.
  • May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors, including but not limited to, second-hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and taste or smell.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
