Job Overview:

Ryder Systems is a leading provider of transportation and logistics solutions. We are seeking an experienced Sales Business Development Lead to join our team.

About the Role:

The Sales Business Development Lead will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the local market. This will involve partnering with field sales teams to develop and execute marketing strategies, cultivating leads, assessing customer needs, and securing new business through the Ryder sales process.

Main Responsibilities:

Implement sales strategies and prioritize calls to achieve revenue goalsEstablish ongoing rapport and build virtual relationships with target prospects within the assigned territorySell ancillary Ryder products and services, including RydeSmart, insurance coverage, fuel services, and other offeringsDocument detailed notes in Salesforce.com related to customer needs and concernsResolve customer issues by identifying problems and coordinating resources

Additional Responsibilities:

The Sales Business Development Lead will also be responsible for attaining assigned new business sales quotas and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a relevant field, as well as three years or more of experience in successful sales and inside sales. You should have developed effective presentation skills, demonstrated sales aptitude, and maintained a high level of professionalism.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who possess strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to analyze and solve problems, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should also have knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry, advanced computer skills, and the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is between $50,000 and $55,000 per year, based on factors such as location and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, paid time off, and a tax-advantaged 401(k) retirement savings plan.
