Restaurant Operations Manager

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at The St. Regis Aspen Resort. This role is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our restaurants, bars, and room service departments.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $34.13 per hour, with opportunities for bonuses and benefits packages. Marriott International offers a comprehensive benefits program, including health insurance, retirement savings plans, and paid time off.

Job Description

This role is an entry-level management position that assists in the daily operations of our restaurants, bars, and room service departments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the management of restaurant teams, including supervising staff, providing feedback, and coaching employees on performance.
  • Conducting day-to-day restaurant operations, including ensuring compliance with restaurant policies and standards, monitoring food quality and service levels, and assisting in achieving budgeted goals.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, including interacting with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels, supervising staffing levels, and encouraging employees to provide excellent customer service within guidelines.
  • Assisting in human resource activities, including supervising ongoing training initiatives, communicating performance expectations, and coaching employees on performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with 3 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area, or a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major, with 1 year of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
