Job Opportunity

Families Forward, a member of The Fedcap Group, is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven individual to fill the role of Education and Training Instructor. This position plays a vital part in our workforce development model, providing training and instruction to individuals from diverse backgrounds who aim to overcome barriers and achieve employment-focused goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver training and instruction to program participants, focusing on life skills, wellness, and sector/employer-based training.
  • Develop and implement curriculum, utilizing handouts, workbooks, web-based resources, and other teaching tools.
  • Collaborate with vocational evaluation and employment services staff to ensure curriculum development and participant training needs are met.
  • Provide daily homework assignments and track participant progress, taking the initiative to reschedule missed appointments.
  • Conduct weekly case notes, highlighting topics reviewed, participation, and progress towards job readiness.
  • Work with Placement Specialists to organize hiring fairs, industry panels, and practice interview sessions with area employers.
  • Represent Fedcap and Families Forward in a positive and professional manner, interacting with stakeholders and the community.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or relevant experience required.
  • 3-5 years' experience working with individuals seeking employment opportunities preferred.
Work Environment:

This role operates in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this job include regular talking and hearing, frequent standing, walking, and use of hands to handle or feel objects. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
