Community Operations Manager

As a key member of our team, the Community Manager will oversee all day-to-day operations, including accounting, collections, customer service, and staff management.
This is a full-time position that may include some evening and occasional weekend work.
The Community Manager must set the example for their team, providing exceptional customer service during daily interactions with residents.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the community staff and exemplifying leadership and sound decision-making skills
- Responsible for employee selection, training, and supervision of the Assistant Community Manager and Resident Specialist
- Maintaining a basic level of understanding of accounting, maintenance, and repairs, human resources policies, and current landlord-tenant law
- Completing weekly payroll and reporting requirements (as applicable)
- Supervising the process of daily receipts and bank deposits
- Physically inspecting the neighborhood on a routine basis to maintain corporate standards for curb appeal and landscape enhancement
- Serving as the liaison with community agencies
- Ensuring timely follow-up to resident concerns
- Performing QC inspection of vacant units to ensure the quality of our product
Requirements include:
- Minimum of one year of multifamily property management experience, including bookkeeping, leasing, and customer service
- Ability to establish a rapport with residents as well as a cooperative working environment with staff
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and handle pressure due to complexity and time sensitivity of assigned tasks and/or projects
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Yardi, or equivalent industry-related software, as well as the ability to operate standard office equipment
