Monster Jobs is seeking a seasoned Senior Microsoft Data Services Manager to lead our data management team in Dallas, TX.

Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per year

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Services Manager to oversee the development and implementation of our data management strategy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of DBAs, Data Engineers/Analysts, and collaborating with leaders to assess, prioritize, and focus resources for technical data system requirements.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the Data Management Team (DBA's, Data Engineers/Analysts)
  • Collaborating with leaders to assess, prioritize, and focus resources for technical data system requirements
  • Mentoring and serving as the Technical SME for the team
  • Defining team objectives, providing guidance and support to team, and communicating solutions interdepartmentally
  • Developing long-term strategies, and continually growing the Data Services' functions and responsibilities within the organization
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT related field
  • 8+ years in SQL programming / ETL development / business intelligence report writing
  • 4+ years' experience in a managerial role preferred
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft on-prem platforms (SSMS, SSIS, et.) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Experience with Azure Resources (Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Functions, Log Apps, App Registrations, Key Vault, etc.)
  • Experience with on-prem and cloud Data Warehousing required
  • Experience in database tuning and database archiving preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server Development including: creation of tables / schema definition, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers and performance optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to perform database troubleshooting and implement solutions
