Job Summary

Clear Creek County, Colorado is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing accounts payable and payroll functions in accordance with the County's policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They will be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable and payroll functions in accordance with County policies and procedures
  • Review and verify electronic timesheet information for accuracy and completion
  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll in accordance with established procedures
  • Review computation of wages and deductions for entry to third-party payroll processor
  • Prepare various reports for County Commissioners, Elected Officials, and Department Heads
Requirements
  • Associates degree in Accounting or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable and payroll processing
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
