At River Oaks Baptist School, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate substitute nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution and hold a valid license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.

The substitute nurse will be responsible for providing first aid, administering medication, and delivering specialized medical treatment to students and faculty/staff. A strong background in school nursing, pediatric care, or emergency medicine is preferred.

To be successful in this role, the candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to confidentiality, and a passion for working in a Christian environment. The School Nurse and Associate Head of School for Student Support will provide support and guidance to the substitute nurse.

The ideal candidate will have a vibrant Christian faith, a valid nursing license, and experience in pediatric care or school nursing. Current CPR certification and basic computer literacy are also required.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide first aid and administer medication to students and faculty/staff
* Deliver specialized medical treatment and care for ill or injured students and faculty/staff
* Collaborate with the School Nurse and Associate Head of School for Student Support
* Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a commitment to Christian values

Requirements:

* Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution
* Valid license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
* Experience in pediatric care or school nursing
* Current CPR certification
* Basic computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications:

* Strong background in school nursing, pediatric care, or emergency medicine
* Certification in Type 1 (juvenile insulin dependent) diabetes
