Job Overview

The Jacobson Group seeks a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead our organization towards sustained managed growth. As the principal executive officer, you will provide strategic direction and execute the overall business plan.

About the Role

This is a retained search for a seasoned executive with 10+ years of related work experience and 5+ years of executive-level management experience in the fraternal, non-profit, insurance, management, or business sectors. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of the fraternal benefit system and the association, as well as expertise in product development within the life insurance and annuities space.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Define and implement the strategic direction of the organization, including the creation and implementation of the strategic plan and business plan.
  • Growth Opportunities: Identify and execute growth opportunities, develop and implement frameworks for action plans, and execute them through functional leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Provide direction and leadership to corporate functional departments, including operations, finance, human resources (HR), sales, information technology, compliance, fraternal, and communications.
  • Program Development: Oversee programs that provide membership, financial security, and community services in line with the association's mission and bylaws.
  • Human Resources: Guide HR activities, including planning, selection, supervision, and evaluation of employees.
  • Negotiations: Lead negotiations for mergers and strategic partnerships.
  • Product Development: Oversee product development strategy and lifecycle.
  • Investment Management: Manage investment functions and relationships with external advisors.
  • Industry Expertise: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry, as well as trends and practices of the fraternal benefit society industry.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with the board of directors, key constituencies, professional groups, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree (preferred)
  • 10+ years of related work experience with increasing authority
  • 5+ years of executive-level management experience in the fields of fraternal, non-profit, insurance, management, or business
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the fraternal benefit system and the association
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance, annuities, and investment management
  • Expertise in overall product development within the life insurance and annuities space
  • Proven expertise in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and executive management practices
  • Board experience (preferred)
Salary Range:

$180,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
