Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Loyola University Health System. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with direct patient care procedures, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and medication administration.
- Support the unit manager and professional staff in providing patient care, including transporting patients, setting up equipment, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote patient safety and satisfaction.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
- Less than one year of previous job-related experience required; one to two years of experience preferred.
